The balancer number is a code for the tension and the cord length. The proper balancer must be used to maintain the lower and upper sash in an Andersen® 200 Series Perma-Shield® Narroline® double-hung windows use two (2) balancers in the upper left-hand and upper right-hand corners of the frame to hold the window sash in place. To access the balancers, you will need to remove the unit's jamb liners.
